ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I have always been interested in history, nature, and studying the mythology within different cultures. These have been a constant source of inspiration and subject matter for my sculpture.

The most important thing for me in the process of making my art is the idea or content of the work. The content of the piece drives the composition and guides me in my decision making process; the form of the work is shaped or guided by the idea.

I strive to make art that is affirming of life and the universal human experience, whatever the subject matter may be. My goal is that there will be something in my work that will speak to every person on many different levels. The human figure is central to my sculpture because I feel it is the best way to express things relating to our experiences, or rites of passage, as humans.
